It is possible to view elements of our website without providing any personal details. However, without registering your details you will not be able to order any products on line.

Once payment is made all details will be disposed of and not held by RootsLOCAL.co.uk.

We will only ask for personal information from you where it is necessary for us to provide our service to you. We will only collect information where it is specifically and knowingly provided by you.

We will use this information to process your order and payment.

We may also review the products you buy to enable us to inform you about other products and services offered by us that you may be interested in.

Contacting you
We may occasionally need to contact you to enable us to fulfil your order correctly. For example when we cannot meet a delivery day or an item is out of stock. This contact will usually be made by email or telephone. We may also send you literature informing you about new products and special offers/discounts which we feel may be of interest you. We aim to introduce an email newsletter to registered customers, though you may request that these will not be sent by contacting the office or by email request. If you cancel your account with us, we may archive your address and contact details and send you updated information on the latest news from us. Again you may request that these do not be sent by contacting the office or by email request.

Payment Details
We will never email you asking you for your payment details. Please be aware of fraudulent requests for your payment card details via this route.

Cookies
We offer you the option of automatically remembering your user name used to login to our system. This service works by using cookies. The ‘Shop’ service also uses cookies to function. There will not be a personal ID in the cookie when an anonymous user browses the website. Logging in to RootsLOCAL.co.uk stores your account number and username in the cookie. The RootsLOCAL cookie will remain on your hard disk indefinitely but if not used, will expire after 90 days.

If you prevent us from placing cookies on your computer during your visit, then your login will not function and you will not be able to shop with us.

The full history of your order/s with us is not available online as it would slow down the movement of the website. If you would like a full statement at any point, over any time period, please contact the office and we will gladly help you with this. The same applies to any information we hold about you.
