Duncan Farrington has a passion and reverence for Mellow Yellow oil, his virgin cold-pressed rapeseed oil. It is grown, pressed and bottled entirely on the family's farm, to LEAF Marque Standards.

Mellow Yellow has rapidly become the brand leader in this new market, and is now sold in over 300 retail outlets including Chatsworth Farm Shop and Harvey Nichols.

Duncan likens the golden oil to top quality olive oil, but points out that it contains under half as much saturated fat, the lowest of any oil. It also contains omega 3, 6 and 9 oils and natural vitamin E. It has a light subtle nutty taste, making it ideal for dressings, whilst a high smoke point, ensures it is excellent as a cooking oil.

Since launching in the summer of 2005, Mellow Yellow has impressed consumers, retailers and chefs alike. It has won Food & Drink Forum 2006 Innovation Awards, Category Winner and Supreme Champion in the Waitrose Small Producers Awards 2006, Gold in the Great Taste Awards 2006.
